DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH

 From US 50 (Gunnison or Montrose): On US 50, at the east end of Blue Mesa Reservoir, turn South on CO 149 across the bridge toward Lake City. Continue South on CO 149 for about an hour until you reach Lake City. Stay on the main road through Lake City (CO 149 or Gunnison Ave). At the South end of Lake City you will cross Henson Creek. Continue South on CO 149 for 2 Miles. After 2 Miles there will be a right turn onto County Road 30. There is a big  “Lake San Cristobal Recreation Area” sign at the junction of CO 149 and CR 30. Continue South on CR 30 for 1 Mile and you will see Highlander RV Campground on the right. Vacation Starts Now!

DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH

 From US 160 (South Fork and Creede): Turn North on CO 149 from US 160 in South Fork. Follow CO 149 through Creede (45 Minutes) and then toward Lake City. You will cross over Spring Creek Pass (Continental Divide) and Slumgullion Pass before descending into the Lake Fork Valley. Use caution and the lowest gear when descending Slumgullion Pass. At the bottom of the pass you will cross the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River on the Dawn of  Hope Bridge. Less than a quarter of a mile later you will turn left onto County Road 30. There is a big  “Lake San Cristobal Recreation Area” sign at the junction of CO 149 and CR 30, but it is partially obscured by a hill until you are close to the turn. Turn Left here and continue South on CR 30 for 1 Mile where you will see Highlander RV Campground on the right. Vacation Starts Now!
